What is a course enrolment page?

Course enrolemnt page is a page where users can be enrolled into a course. On the course enrolment page users can see course details (description, course sections, instructors, etc.) but not participate. Course enrolment page is a great feature if you want to sell courses.

Enable course enrolment page

To enable course enrolment page:

  1. Go to: Theme options → Courses → Course enrolment page.
  2. Set the Layout option.

Preview course enrolment page

To preview course enrolment page:

  1. Go to course.
  2. Then go to Participants and make sure you're NOT enrolled in the course.
  3. Click the Course enrolment page link .

Add "about the course" text

To add "about the course" text:

  1. Edit course settings.
  2. Add a short description into the Course Summary text area.

Add course intro text

Intro text is a short text below the course title . By default, intro text is the first sentence of the Course Summary.

If you want to add custom intro text, use the Field - intro text.

Add course video

To add course video, use video custom fields:

Add "what you'll learn" section

To add "what you'll learn" section, use the Field - skills.

Add "course content" section

To add "course content" section:

  1. Go to course.
  2. Turn editing ON .
  3. Add course topic or week.

Add course instructors

To add course instructors:

  1. Go to course.
  2. Then go to Participants.
  3. Enrol user into the course with the Teacher role.

Make course enrolment page visible for the site visitors

To make course enrolment page visible for the site visitors, without clicking the log in as a guest button, you have to enable the Auto-login guests feature.

  1. Go to: Site administration → Users → Permissions → User policies.
  2. CHECK the Auto-login guests option and save settings.
  3. Then go to: Site administration → Plugins → Authentication → Manage authentication.
  4. Set the Guest login button option to SHOW and save settings.
